Hotel Barchetta Excelsior - Como

The location was excellent, close to restaurants and bars and shopping.

It didn't live up to 4 star accomodation

convenient location. room was overlooking the lake. It's clean, cozy, beautiful.

No kettle in the room.

Our room had a balcony with a lake view which was stunning. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was very good. The hotel is very central to all the boat landings and not far from the station. I would recommend this hotel and definitely come again.

Great location. Great view of the Lake & surrounds. Close to station re arrival/departure. Most of all, friendly, courteous & helpful service (the French could learn a thing or 2 from your staff!) . Had a very enjoyable & relaxing stay. Would definately return & recommend to other family & friends.

Couples looking for a decent spot

I was really impressed with the location! We had this room with an amazing view of the lake that you just can't get enough of, woke up to the sunlight reflecting off the water every morning. The staff were friendly and helped with everything, including some good recommendations for local eateries which added to our experience.

It wasn't exactly cheap but considering the circumstances, I can say it was acceptable.

Easy access by car to Monza (for the Italian Grand Prix) whilst providing a relatively restful break each evening in a quieter area. Good buffet breakfast included in room rate.

1. The requirement to pay for parking in a four star hotel when so many guests would be likely to travel to Como by car. 2. The non-availability of free wireless internet in-room. Hence, "services/facilities" and "value for money" only rated as "fair". The hotel website does not make it clear that these facilities are to be paid for in addition to the room rate. Any recommendation would be accompanied by a warning about these shortcomings.

The location of the Hotel was great, very accessible to shops lake transport. Breakfasts were great too plenty to choose from and good quality.

Staying here was fantastic! The location is perfect for exploring Como. We enjoyed a romantic boat trip on the lake with beautiful views. The staff were friendly and accommodating to our family with two dogs.

In my wife's opinion, the bed could be more comfortable.

the location could not have been better for access to the lake and the city and the receptionist in particular was very accomadating

the arrangements for the breakfast could have been better organised as people had to queue for quite some time to be seated
